The artist, moving to Paris with his family in 1975, studied Philosophy and Art between 1980-1986. He was graduated from Reims (France) School of Fine Arts in 1989. After returning to Turkey in 2001, Recep Çiftci continuing his artwork focused on the universe, creation, and internal energy themes.

He defines this journey, which is the most important starting point of his art, as follows: “ We are all energies, manipulated by energies and trying to manipulate those energies. Everything that exists in the universe vibrates, and every vibration refers to a sound, and every sound refers to a color. All the colors, all sounds of the universe are in a harmonious journey from the concrete to abstract in this cycle. It is such a journey that is parallel to the evolution of human's quest from matter to meaning in their inner world. When a person embraces the sound of the universe, that is, his mind, and awakening, then his soul starts flapping like birds and takes steps from abstract to concrete, from portraits to spirits."

The artist who continues his works in his studio in Istanbul had 9 international solo exhibitions and participated in many mixed exhibitions.
